PTI Declares Election Victory as "Rejection of Subjugation"

ISLAMABAD. Feb 11 :In a resounding proclamation, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has christened its triumph in the 2024 general elections as "Rejection of Subjugation." PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar, in a statement, attributed their victory squarely to the people, emphasizing the sanctity of the public mandate.

Chairman Gohar urged for the prompt announcement of full election results, stressing that the Election Commission has a constitutional and legal obligation to disclose results by 2 pm. Expressing concern over delays in result compilation, he demanded transparency and accountability, insisting on explanations for any deviations from the mandated timeline.

Highlighting widespread delays in result dissemination across Pakistan, Gohar criticized the Election Commission for past shortcomings in result compilation, citing previous failures to fulfill its responsibilities.

Gohar alleged deliberate efforts to impede successful PTI candidates, signaling the party's intent to stage peaceful protests outside the offices of Returning Officers where results are delayed, scheduled for 2 pm on Sunday.

Presently, PTI claims a lead of 170 seats, with the Election Commission having accepted and released results for 94 of these seats. Notably, PTI secured 39 out of 45 National Assembly seats in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, granting them a two-thirds majority in the provincial assembly. Additionally, PTI has clinched a majority in the Punjab Assembly.

Chairman Gohar confidently asserted PTI's prospective governance in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, declaring this victory as a definitive rejection of subjugation, echoing the sentiment of the people.
