PTI leader Aamir Mughal arrested in anti-terrorism case amid secretariat sealing

ISLAMABAD,: An anti-terrorism case has been filed following a confrontation during the sealing of the Central Secretariat of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in Islamabad.

PTI Islamabad leader Aamir Mughal has been named in the case and was apprehended by police outside the PTI central secretariat during the night.

According to the case details, during a Capital Development Authority (CDA) anti-encroachment operation, Aamir Mughal arrived wielding an iron rod. Accompanied by several others, Mughal and his group allegedly assaulted police officers and fired shots into the air.

The case documentation notes that while Aamir Mughal was arrested, his accomplices managed to evade capture. The case has been registered under Section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA) and other relevant provisions by the District Magistrate at the Karachi Police Station.
