PTI leader Ghulam Mohiuddin Deewan's detention challenged in LHC

LAHORE, Sep 18:Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and Azad Kashmir Assembly member Ghulam Mohiuddin Deewan's detention has been challenged in the Lahore High Court.
The petition, filed by Deewan's wife, Saba Deewan, through lawyer Mian Ali Ashfaq, names the Punjab government, Lahore Deputy Commissioner, and the Jail Superintendent as respondents.
The petition argues that Deewan, a law-abiding member of the Azad Kashmir Assembly, is being unlawfully detained in violation of Article 9 of the Constitution. It claims his detention is politically motivated and that the Deputy Commissioner’s actions are illegal. The petition seeks a court order for Deewan's immediate release and suspension of his detention orders.
