PTI MNA Aslam Ghumman kidnapped, allegations of coercion to join PML-N surface

SIALKOT, Feb 16: Newly elected PTI MNA Brigadier (retd) Aslam Ghumman has been reportedly kidnapped by unidentified individuals in Sialkot.
PTI's prime ministerial candidate, Umar Ayub, took to social media to denounce the abduction, alleging that Ghumman is being coerced into defecting to PML-N.

Ghumman , a successful independent candidate backed by PTI from Constituency NA-74 Sialkot, clinched victory with an impressive 130,504 votes. However, the circumstances surrounding his abduction have raised concerns about political motives and foul play.

Despite Ghumman 's victory, PTI has raised allegations of rigging and enforced disappearance, further intensifying the political turmoil surrounding the incident. In response, senior PTI leader Sher Afzal Marwat has announced plans for a peaceful protest in Islamabad, rallying party workers to demand justice and transparency in the electoral process.

Amidst the escalating tensions, Marwat emphasized the need for unity within PTI ranks and condemned any attempts to subvert the democratic process. He criticized PML-N's alleged involvement in coercive tactics and reiterated PTI's commitment to upholding electoral integrity.

The abduction of Ghumman underscores the challenges facing Pakistan's political landscape, as parties clash over electoral outcomes and allegations of malpractice. As investigations into the incident unfold, the nation remains on edge, awaiting answers and justice for the abducted MNA.
