PTI Reschedules Internal Polls for Post-Election Period

ISLAMABAD, Feb 02: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) has opted to defer its much-anticipated intra-party elections, just a day after announcing the official date.

Reliable sources indicate that the party's leadership promptly contacted the chief organizer, requesting a postponement of the intra-party elections. This decision aligns with the expressed concerns and requests from party members who cited their preoccupation with the upcoming general elections as the primary reason for the delay.

PTI is now set to unveil a fresh schedule for the intra-party elections, a move widely seen as a practical response to the prevailing circumstances surrounding the busy election season.

The official schedule for PTI's intra-party elections was unveiled just yesterday, with the announcement that the elections were slated for February 5, a Monday. PTI's Federal Election Commissioner, Rauf Hassan, had also released the detailed schedule for the anticipated intra-party electoral process.

As PTI recalibrates its political strategy, the decision to postpone the intra-party elections underscores the party's flexibility and adaptability amidst the dynamic landscape of Pakistan's political scenario.
