PTI Secretary Raouf Hasan Arrested in Islamabad Raid

Islamabad: Islamabad police, led by SSP Hassan Jahangir Watoo, conducted a raid on the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) secretariat, resulting in the arrest of PTI's Secretary Information, Raouf Hasan.

During the operation, police sealed off the secretariat and seized computers and other equipment. Female officers were also present, detaining PTI women activists and secretariat staff.

Initial reports suggested the arrest of PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, but this was later denied by the police. Gohar Ali Khan was advised to leave the police lines after it was confirmed he was not wanted in any case, while Raouf Hasan remains in custody.

The police prohibited media coverage of the raid and mistreated an Express News reporter attempting to record the event.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has called a federal cabinet meeting for tomorrow to consider a ban on PTI.
