PTI’s Zartaj Gul has requested transit bail from the Peshawar High Court

On Wednesday, Zartaj Gul, a leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), approached the Peshawar High Court (PHC) seeking transit bail after a case was filed against her in Islamabad following a rally on September 8.

In her request to the court, Gul explained that she faces legal action in Islamabad related to her participation in the rally. She highlighted the recent wave of arrests involving several Members of the National Assembly (MNAs), including notable figures such as Barrister Gohar, Sher Afzal Marwat, and Shoaib Shaheen, who were detained earlier this week. Additionally, MNAs Zain Qureshi and Sheikh Waqas Akram were apprehended from within the Parliament House, along with several other political and religious figures.

Gul expressed her concern over the rising number of arrests and appealed to the court for protection against potential detention. Following these events, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar was released on the court’s orders.
