Punjab forms JIT to investigate Bahawalnagar clash between police and army
LAHORE, April 14: The Punjab government has constituted a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) to probe the recent clash between police and Pakistan Army personnel in Bahawalnagar. According to the notification, the JIT will be led by Special Secretary Home Fazlur Rehman, with Commissioner Bahawalpur, Nadarchhata, serving as a member. The team will also include DIG Special Branch Faisal Raja and representatives from both Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and Intelligence Bureau (IB).
This joint investigation aims to ensure a thorough and impartial probe into the incident. The team is tasked with identifying those responsible for any legal violations and bringing them to justice.
The clash in Bahawalnagar highlights the need for better coordination and communication between law enforcement agencies. The JIT's findings are expected to shed light on the cause of the incident and pave the way for preventing similar occurrences in the future.
