Punjab govt starts Kisan Card registration for small farmers in Faisalabad Division

FAISALABAD, May 30: The Punjab government has initiated the registration process for Kisan Cards in Faisalabad Division. Under the guidance of Director of Agriculture Extension Department, Chaudhry Khalid Mehmood, farmers cultivating areas less than 100 kanals are eligible to apply.

The registration process, outlined during a meeting with stakeholders, requires farmers to send a message from their own mobile number, registered under their name. Bank of Punjab's Agriculture Head, Shehbaz Ahmed, announced interest-free loans up to one and a half lakh rupees, empowering farmers to procure necessary agricultural resources like accessories, fertilizers, and seeds promptly.

The gathering witnessed active participation from key figures including Secretary Information Anjuman Kashtakaran Punjab, Rana Muhammad Khan Bhatti, Chief Scientist from Ayub Agricultural Research Institute Faisalabad, Dr. Muhammad Zafar, and President of Fertilizer Association Faisalabad, Chaudhry Tariq Kamboh. With support from agricultural experts and financial institutions, this initiative aims to bolster the farming community's livelihoods in the region.

LAHORE, May 30 (INP): The Promotion Board, under the chairmanship of Additional Secretary Admin, approved significant promotions in various government departments. A total of 37 PEs have been elevated to the esteemed position of Private Secretary, while 30 junior clerks have ascended to the rank of Senior Clerk.
The promotion board convened on Wednesday, with the active participation of officers, including Deputy Secretary Admin, to deliberate and finalize the promotions.
