Rs. 2,000 fine for wrong park, smoke, drive wrong way, license-less woes

RAWALPINDI, Dec 19 : The fine for four traffic rule violations has been set at Rs. 2,000 each as part of stringent measures to enforce traffic regulations and combat smog throughout Punjab.

The notification for the execution of these fines, issued by SSP Traffic HQ Punjab on behalf of Additional IG Traffic Punjab, outlines the penalties for specific offenses. A fine of Rs. 2,000 will be imposed on vehicles emitting smoke across Punjab. Similarly, drivers of improperly parked and NO-parking zone violators will also face a fine of Rs. 2,000.

The fine amount for one-way violations and driving without a valid license has also been standardized at Rs. 2,000 each.

The notification emphasizes that these fine rates, which have already been implemented in Lahore, are now applicable throughout the entire province of Punjab.

In accordance with the Lahore High Court's decision, violators of these four traffic laws will be subject to a fine of Rs. 2,000 per violation, and this enforcement will be rigorously implemented.
