Senate unanimously passes resolution for stringent action against anti-army propaganda

ISLAMABAD, Jan 02: In a unanimous decision, the Senate has approved a resolution to impose severe penalties on individuals disseminating negative and malicious propaganda against the Pakistan Army and security forces.

The resolution was presented by People's Party Senator Bahramand Tangi during a Senate meeting chaired by the Senate Chairman on Tuesday, where various bills were also deliberated.

The resolution acknowledges the monumental sacrifices made by the armed forces and defense agencies in the war against terrorism and in safeguarding the nation's borders. It emphasizes the need to take stringent measures against those who engage in spreading detrimental propaganda against the army and security forces.
