Seven Killed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Rainstorms and Landslides

PESHAWAR, April 14: Heavy rains and landslides have caused fatalities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with authorities confirming seven deaths since yesterday across Dir, Chitral, and Swat districts.

Details from the incidents reveal a cowherd falling to his death in Upper Chitral's Istaro area, while two others sustained injuries. Landslides triggered by the downpour claimed the lives of two girls in Badalai Deer Bala after their house was struck by debris.

In Maidan Lower Dir, a woman tragically lost her life due to a roof collapse caused by the heavy rains.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sardar Ali Amin Gandapur expressed his condolences to the bereaved families and directed the Swat district administration to provide immediate relief. He also ordered authorities to offer financial assistance to those affected.

The Chief Minister emphasized solidarity with the families, assuring them they would not be left alone during this difficult time.
