Sheikh Rashid Predicts Political Future Will Be Clear by August 31

Rawalpindi: Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, head of the Awami Muslim League and former federal minister, has stated that the future of Pakistani politics will be "crystal clear" by August 31.

Speaking to the media during a court appearance, Rashid declared that Lal Haveli will remain silent until August 31, and he reiterated his commitment to not making any political statements until then. He expressed confidence that a decision will be reached before the deadline, which he believes will result in public success. Rashid also mentioned that he plans to re-enter politics after August 31.

The former minister criticized the current government, accusing it of incompetence and failure. He mocked the government's attempt to ban PTI, suggesting that even if such a ban were imposed, it would not have significant repercussions. Rashid criticized the current administration for exacerbating inflation and suffering among the public, stating that the government is a symbol of hatred and ineffectiveness.

Rashid also expressed dissatisfaction with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, asserting that Sharif has failed to secure even small financial aid and that Pakistan's salvation lies with General Asim Munir and the establishment. He urged military leaders to address the cases of those arrested in the May 9 incidents, many of whom he claims are innocent.

Rashid concluded by stating that statements against the judiciary indicate the government's defeat, and warned that any actions against the judiciary will ultimately impact the military.
