Suspended Lawmakers to Challenge Supreme Court Ruling
ISLAMABAD – Members of Parliament who were previously suspended by the Supreme Court after taking their oaths on specific seats have decided to personally challenge the ruling in court.
These National and Provincial Assembly members will individually file writ petitions in the Supreme Court, arguing that the decision was made without giving them a fair hearing.
Sources reveal that the suspended members have finalized the contents of their petitions and have been instructed by their respective political parties to proceed with legal action.
This development follows the Supreme Court of Pakistan’s July 12 decision, which overturned the Peshawar High Court and Election Commission rulings. The Supreme Court ordered that the specific seats in question be allocated to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
