Tragic Deaths at Mayo Hospital Following Injection Reaction

Two patients tragically lost their lives at Mayo Hospital in Lahore due to severe reactions from a suspected anti-bacterial injection. The incident, which occurred on Monday, has sent shockwaves through the medical community. Along with the two fatalities, 17 others remain in critical condition at the hospital’s Chest Surgery Ward, highlighting the severity of the situation.

Authorities React Quickly to Prevent Further Harm

Following the adverse reactions, hospital authorities took immediate action, halting the use of the suspected injection in a bid to prevent further harm. Medical Superintendent (MS) confirmed the tragic passing of 26-year-old Daulat Khan, who was undergoing surgery, and also noted the death of a 31-year-old female patient earlier. In response to the situation, the Punjab Health Department has launched an official investigation, and a high-level committee has been set up to probe the matter in depth.
