Awami National Party Unveils More Candidates for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and National Assembly Seats
PESHAWAR, The Awami National Party (ANP) has announced a new wave of candidates for the upcoming Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provincial and National Assembly elections, bolstering its lineup across various constituencies.
Prominent faces in the new batch include Khadija, who will take on the challenge in BBNA-1 (Chitral), and Dr. Sherbaz, vying for NA-3 (Swat). Maulana Khanzeb will spearhead the party's campaign in NA-8 (Bajur), while Sarzamin Khan and Nisar Momand received nominations for NA-12 (Kohistan) and NA-26 (Momand) respectively.
On the provincial front, Mumtaz Ali Khan will contest from PK-9 (Swat) and Raja Ameer Zaman from PK-12 (Deer Bala). Further nominations were announced for Sarzamin Khan (PK-32, Lower Kohistan), Muhammad Arshad Khan (PK-34, Bitgram), and Muhammad Siddique (PK-35, Bitgram).
Women candidates were also prominently featured, with Shaheen Zameer contesting from PK-40 (Mansehra), Shahnaz Raja from PK-42 (Abbottabad), and Iram Fatima from PK-47 (Haripur).
The party confirmed Aziz Ghaffar's participation in PK-68 (Momand) and PK-72 (Peshawar), alongside Shaughta Malik (PK-73, Peshawar) and Izhar Khalil (PK-78, Peshawar).
Jawad Khattak will represent the ANP in PK-87 (Nowshera), while Masood Khalil takes on PK-91 (Kohat). Asmatullah Khattak earned the party's nod for PK-92 (Kohat), and Nowroz Khan and Kazai will contest in PK-95 (Karam).
The list culminates with Noorani Khan as the ANP candidate for PK-99 (Bannu) and Malik Ali Sarwar in PK-107 (Lucky Marwat). Taimur Ali Khan completes the lineup in PK-113 (Dera Ismail Khan).
Chairman of the Provincial Parliamentary Board, Amil Wali Khan, confirmed the nominations after consultations with party members. These strategic selections demonstrate the ANP's determination to make a strong showing in the upcoming elections, seeking to broaden its appeal across diverse constituencies in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and beyond.
