Woman Arrested for Selling Liquor Under the Guise of Sewing Business
Lahore, Aug 02: A woman was apprehended by the Kot Lakhpat Police for selling alcohol while posing as a tailor. Acting on a tip-off, authorities raided the suspect's residence in the Awami Colony area and discovered illicit alcohol hidden under the pretense of a sewing business.
The arrested woman, identified as Saima Bibi, was found to be operating a liquor trade while allegedly running a sewing operation. Police seized 15 bottles of foreign liquor and 10 liters of local brew from her home.
The police have registered a case against Saima Bibi and commenced an investigation. SP Model Town, Ikhlaq Ahmed Tareen, confirmed that the crackdown on drug and alcohol trafficking would continue.
